To be used in conjunction with standard lift overhead doors where no sideroom is available. Explosion Proof Three Button Control: Momentary contact type for open, close, stop. Operator may be stopped in any position and door moved up or down from that position. Close button can be wired for constant pressure when specified. Control circuit: 24V AC for user protection, Class II. C.S.A. an U.L. approved. Adjustable Torque Limiter: Will protect door and operator in case of obstruction. (Optional at extra cost). Explosion Proof Limit Switches: Rotary type with oilite bronze cams and precision micro switches for automatic stopping of door in up and down positions (easily adjustable without tools). Reversing Contactor: Heavy duty type. Reduction: Worm gear reducer, single stage, running in an oil bath, 40:1 ratio, C flange design, cast iron alloy housing. Door speed: 8" (20cm) per second approx. Dual Trolley: Cast aluminium alloy chain driven carriage, slides in dual heavy steel angle tracks, with continuous No.40 push and pull roller chain, for smooth and quiet operation. In addition, a roller spreader is provided to support trolley and prevent chain from rubbing. Quick Release Door Arm: Quickly disengages operator from door at floor level (without tools) for manual operation in the event of power failure. Explosion Proof Motor: 3/4 H.P. (560W), 1 H.P. Manual Overload Relay: For overcurrent and under voltage protection (manual reset). Headroom Required: 2-1/2" (6.25cm) minimum from door's highest arc of travel. Backroom: 5'0" (152cm) plus door height. Finish: Primed with rust-proof primer and spray painted in blue hammertone enamel. Explosion Proof Limit Switches: Rotary type, friction free oilite bronze cams grooved and lock guided in a spring loaded, formed galvanised steel plate. Cams are fitted on 5/8" d. x 10-3/4" I. (1.59cm x 26.88cm) C.R. steel shaft with N.F. threads which rotates in lubricated high speed ballbearings. Cams on their preset travel activate the micro switches to cut power of motor control in both open and close directions of door. Operating force on limit switches 4 oz. (113.4g) maximum. Contact separation: .020" (.05cm). Terminations .25" (.63cm) quick connect. Unit Chassis: Heavy steel channel assembly reinforced with steel gusset plates, bolted together for greater strength. Electrical Control Cabinet: Made from cast aluminium alloy, explosion proof type for hazardous locations. Classifications 7 D, 9 E, F, G, Class I, Group D, Class II, Group E, F and G, Class III, Division I and 2 areas. C.S.A. and U.L. approved. Interior dimensions enclosing all electrical components: 10" x 8" x 6" (25cm x 20cm x 15cm). Factory prewired and mounted to unit chassis with four zinc plated bolts. Electrical wiring from motor to the cabinet are concealed by means of explosion proof fittings, junction boxes, unions, and flexible conduits. All C.S.A. and U.L. approved. Torque Limiter (Optional at extra cost): This patent-pending torque limiter consists of a steel hub with two 4" diam. clutch plates, a 50B23 sprocket, two 4" diam. non-flammable friction fibre discs, and a spring washer with pressure cup. Holding force is from 50 to 1500 lbs. (23 to 680kgs). Can be adjusted in the field as required, depending on door weight. Torque limiter will protect door and operator in case of obstruction. Synchronized limit drive assembly will not go out of adjustment when torque limiter is activated. Quick Release Door Lifting Arm: 1" x 3/8" (2.5cm x .95cm) H.R. steel bar bent 90o, adjustable to suit headroom with spring loaded hook attached to aluminium door bracket. This arm quickly disengages operator trolley from door at floor level (without tools) for manual operation in the event of power failure. Explosion-Proof Motors: Rated for continuous duty (capacitor start on single phase models); 3/4 H.P. (560W), 1 H.P. (746W), 1-1/2 H.P. (1119W) or 2 H.P.
