For safety reasons when an automatic closing TIMER is used on any upward acting door or gate, a photoelectric control system is recommended. These photoelectric controls, positioned close to the door/gate, project a modulated light-beam across the driveway path. If the beam should be interrupted while door/gate is closing, it will cause the door/gate to reverse instantaneously and return to the fully open position. Should the light beam be interrupted while the door/gate is open, the automatic closing "TIMER" will reset and remain inactive to keep door/gate open until the light beam is restored and free from obstruction. In most applications, the photoelectric control is used as a safety device. When door is in the fully-closed position, sensor is inoperative preventing unwanted use of door/gate. This photoelectric control system can also be used as an operating device to open the door/gate.
Consists of one self-contained waterproof enclosure, with an invisible, solid state L.E.D. light source, modulated for indoor and outdoor application, non-responsive to ambient light. One reflector and mounting bracket is provided. Operating voltage: 24V to 240V A.C. Operating light indicator. Maximum sensing distance: 30 ft. (9m).
