Model ETBHW waterproof/dust-tight, trolley type electric door operator has been designed to operate industrial standard-lift sectional overhead doors. For locations where atmosphere contains dust, oil, liquid vapours or water, such as wash-bays, etc.
Momentary contact type for open, close, stop. Operator may be stopped in any position and door moved up or down from that position. Close button can be wired for constant pressure when specified. Control circuit 24V. A.C. for user's protection Class II.
Will protect door and operator in case of obstruction.
Rotary type with oilite bronze cams and precision micro switches for automatic stopping of door in open and closed positions. (Easily adjustable without tools).
Heavy duty type.
The power unit of this operator utilizes a large size V-belt (5L) and heavy pulleys for primary reduction; roller chain and steel sprockets for secondary reduction to the output drive shaft. Mounted on 1" (2.5cm) C.R. steel shaft rotating on high speed, self-lubricating, self-aligning pillow-block bearings, for efficient, long lasting, hard-working, high-traffic operation. Door operating speed approx. 1.0 ft (.3m) per second.
Cast aluminium alloy chain driven carriage, slides in a dual heavy steel angle tracks, with continuous No. 41 push and pull roller chain, for smooth and quiet operation. In addition, a roller spreader is provided to support trolley and prevent chain from rubbing.
Quickly disengages operator from door (without tools) for manual operation in the event of power failure.

Heavy duty reversing contactor, two sets of three pole contacts on a common frame, mechanically interlocked to prevent simultaneous closure. Clapper-type armature with three point suspension, auxiliary contacts, DPDT on each armature. Holding coils 24V. A.C. Contact rating: resistive: 15 amps @ 120V. A.C., 10 amps @ 240V. A.C., 5 amps @ 600 V. A.C.; inductive: 2 H.P. (1493W) max. Terminals .25" (.63cm) quick connect. Mechanical life: over 10 million cycles.
4" (10cm) D, aluminium disc attached to rotating shaft, covered on one side with 4" x 1/8" (10cm x .32cm) non-flammable clutch fibre material, compressed against 9" (28cm) V-belt pulley by means of heavy compression spring and castellated, threaded nut, securely locked with 3/16" (4.88mm) cotterpin. Friction clutch system can be adjusted easily, depending on door size and weight. Friction clutch will protect door and operator in case of obstruction.
Factory pre-wired, made of sheet metal; construction of suitable rigidity designed to meet EEMAC and C.S.A. classifications type 12 and 4. Size: 8" x 10" x 5" (20cm x 25cm x 13cm) with removable cover for easy servicing and maintenance. Mounted on unit chassis with four zinc plated steel bolts.
Rotary type, friction free "oilite" bronze cams, grooved and lock guided in a formed galvanised steel plate. Cams are fitted on 5/8" (1.59cm) x 10-3/4" (26.88cm) C.R. threaded N.F. steel shaft, rotating on lubricated high speed ball bearings. Cams, on their preset travel, activate the micro switches to cut power of motor, in both open and close directions. Operating force on limit switches: 4 oz. (113.4g) maximum. Contact separation: .020" (0.05cm). Pre-travel: .250" (.625cm). Termination: .250" (.625cm) quick connect.
This extra rugged power unit drive utilises one (5L) V belt, one 2" (5cm) and one 9" (22.8cm) type B die-cast aluminium alloy pulley, balanced for smooth operation, for primary reduction; two steel sprockets, 41B12 and 41B36, with RC41 roller chain, mounted on 1" (2.5cm) C.R. steel shaft, rotating on four 1" (2.5cm) self-lubricating, self-aligning, high speed pillow block bearings, for secondary reduction to the output drive shaft. All sprockets and pulleys pinned or keyed to shafting. Door operating speed approx. 1.0ft (.3m) per second.
This heavy steel frame assembly, made of 2" x 2" x 1/8" (5cm x 5cm x .31cm) H.R. steel angles, is reinforced with steel plates, bolted together for greater strength.
Made from 2" x 2" x 1/8" (5cm x 5cm x .31cm) H.R. steel angles mounted together with 3/8" (9.5mm) H.R. steel rods. Cast aluminium alloy, chain driven carriage, slides between dual angle tracks with continuous No. 41 push and pull roller chain, for smoother and friction free operation. In addition, a roller spreader is provided to support trolley at centre and prevent chain from rubbing.
1" x 3/8" (2.5cm x .93cm) H.R. steel bar bent 90o, adjustable to suit headroom with spring loaded hook attached to aluminium door bracket. This arm quickly disengages operator trolley from door (without tools) for manual operation in the event of power failure.

Made from one 4" (10cm) diameter aluminium alloy disc mounted on keyed motor shaft. Brake-lined shoes with 360o exterior compressing force, through spring-loaded mechanism. Brake disc stops motor when electro-magnetic solenoid is released. Mounted on heavy-duty steel plates protected in 14 ga. steel enclosure. Brake mechanism is self-adjusting type.
Rated for continuous duty (capacitor start on single phase models) 1/3 H.P. (249W), 1/2 H.P. (373W), 3/4 H.P. (560W) or 1 H.P. (746W), 115V. or 230V. single phase; 208V., 230V., 416V., 460V. or 550V. three phase, 1725 RPM, ball bearings permanently lubricated. Frame rigid type 56, shaft 5/8" (1.59cm) diameter. 1 H.P. Unit is factory pre-wired, colour coded and tagged.
